and this is how you make vegetarian chili

Meeting 1

Vegetarian Chili -recipe from Jes Anthonis

in frying pan:

olive oil -to coat pan
add:
1/2 red onion chopped
2 cloves garlic
chopped carrots
red/yellow bell peppers
any other veggies that you want

next add:

1 can tomato paste
1/2 cup textured vegetable protein
add water as needed so paste does not burn and veg. protein gets fluffy
let the mixture simmer

In large pot add:

(drain all of the beans)

1 can black beans
1 can white beans
1 can red kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1/2 cup textured vegetable protein
add water as needed -so veg protein fluffs

after veggies are cooked, add the mixture to the pot of beans and stir, stir, stir...

(we added 1/2 a packet of chili seasonings)

add water as needed to get the consistency you want.

that's it! eat it up and say "yum!'
